Job summary

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group in Barcelona, Spain is hiring a Senior AI Engineer – Agent Developer. The role combines AI coding, data governance and production software development, with hybrid onsite work and a salary in the 60k–90k EUR range.

You will design, implement and operate end-to-end conversational analytics agents, integrate with Snowflake and other tools, and ensure governance and security controls in a regulated healthcare context.

Qualifications

• Fluent English.
• Strong experience building LLM-based applications, text-to-SQL or conversational analytics solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and advanced SQL.
• Experience with LLM patterns including prompt engineering, function calling, tool use and agent orchestration.
• Experience with Snowflake and familiarity with Snowflake Cortex capabilities.
• Experience with LangGraph and similar agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with evaluation tools such as Ragas or DeepEval and observability platforms such as LangSmith, Weights & Biases, Arize or equivalent.
• Experience working in regulated or governance-first environments, including RBAC, auditability and responsible-AI controls.
• Strong software-engineering, testing and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and operate production web applications end to end.
• Work across frontend, backend, databases, cloud infrastructure, and product workflows.
• Build modern user experiences using TypeScript and React or comparable frontend technologies.
• Develop backend services using Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, or related technologies.
• Design robust SQL schemas for complex, real-time operational workflows.
• Deploy and operate applications in AWS or GCP environments.
• Use AI coding assistants as part of the daily software-development workflow while maintaining strong review and verification practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Take ownership of technical outcomes from initial problem definition through production operation.
• Build secure and reliable systems handling sensitive healthcare-related information.
