Mölnlycke Health Care in Madrid is seeking a Senior Accounting & Tax Specialist to oversee accounting and reporting for Spain, Italy and Portugal, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and group policies and coordinating with shared service teams.

You will drive accurate tax filings, support audits, and push process improvements across three countries while working in a multinational environment.

Formación

• Academic degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting roles or audit/public accounting within international companies.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Italian a plus.
• Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, tax compliance, and group consolidation.
• Highly IT literate; SAP and Excel knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in line with local GAAP and Group policies, including reconciliation between frameworks.
• Submit monthly reporting and disclosures into Group reporting channels.
• Ensure timely and accurate legal reporting.
• Prepare and submit statutory financial statements, income tax returns, VAT, and other regulatory filings for all three countries in scope.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and reporting quality, working with shared business service teams.
• Implement and maintain the Group internal control framework and key controls within the entity.
• Act as primary contact for auditors and authorities; coordinate audits and ensure compliance.
• Prepare tax packs, analyze permanent and temporary differences, and apply country-specific adjustments.
• Ensure reconciliations and true ups of all balance sheet accounts; resolve aged items promptly.

Location

You’ll make a significant contribution in the following areas:

What you will need:

• Experience with advanced accounting issues and closing processes.


• Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Spanish. Italian will be a plus.


• Highly IT literate; ideally with knowledge of SAP, group reporting tools and Excel.
