Northernlight Insurance and Surety Company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s accounting operations and strengthen its processes. This hands-on role requires expertise in QuickBooks Online and IFRS, managing the full accounting cycle, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 10 years of professional accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience leading the full accounting cycle and month-end close.
• Experience developing and improving accounting processes and internal controls.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• CPA/ACCA or equivalent designation is a plus.
• Insurance, reinsurance or surety industry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage full accounting cycle within QBO.
• Lead month-end close and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger and IFRS-compliant records.
• Oversee AR/AP, invoicing, collections and payments.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Improve accounting processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and document internal controls and procedures.
• Supervise one accounting team member.
• Support management reporting and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors.
