Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Security Specialist Intern to help protect the physical security of data center facilities in a hands-on role. You will work with security vendors, analyze operations data, and contribute to surveillance and access control improvements.

This 12‑week full‑time internship (40 hours/week) is designed as a potential pathway to full‑time employment. You will be mentored, gain real security exposure, and help deliver proven security outcomes on behalf of AWS.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant bachelor’s degree with expected graduation in 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in physical security, surveillance systems and access controls.
• Ability to analyze data to identify security gaps and improvements.
• Willingness to work on-site at data centers in Spain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors involved in security construction, repairs, and daily operations.
• Analyze security metrics and data to identify trends and improvements.
• Develop guidance for data center occupants to reduce false alarms.
• Write reports and create presentations on physical security status for management.
• Assist with planning and coordinating security-related projects.
