MediaMarktSaturn Technology is seeking a professional to help enhance search relevance across our platforms in a hybrid Barcelona-based role. You will work with a diverse team to optimize ETL pipelines, tune Solr-based search, and align configurations with business needs.

You will collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to improve models and mappings, while documenting technical details for international teams.

Formación

• A degree in informatics or related field is a plus but not mandatory.
• Interest in search algorithms, ETL processes, and relevance optimization (precision, recall, ndCG).
• Willingness to learn Solr and how it works.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to grasp complex tasks quickly.
• Knowledge of Python and Java/Kotlin; DevOps and Kubernetes a plus.
• Familiarity with Solr or Elasticsearch and complex queries is a plus.
• Good communication, team spirit, and innovative mindset.
• First touch points with AI Coding Assistants.

Responsabilidades

• Overseeing all search relevance configurations and parameter settings inside our self-developed Apache Solr-based E-commerce Search Engine and data processing rules during ETL.
• Constantly exchanging with POs, Data Analysts, and Search Managers from several countries and translating requirements into search configurations at code level.
• Working with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to improve relevance models, filters, mappings, and products, and participating in discovery meetings.
• Understanding and documenting technical and feature-related information and transferring knowledge to operational units in different countries.
