ICEYE in Valencia, Spain is seeking a Satellite Production Senior Technician, RF, Systems & Software to support automated verification and launch campaigns. You'll work on subsystem and system level tests, ensuring aerospace quality and precise documentation.

You will operate test equipment, mentor juniors, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement. Fluency in English required; Linux experience and scripting welcome.

Formación

Why This Role Matters

As a Satellite RF, Systems & Software Senior Production Technician, you play a vital role in ensuring that ICEYE satellite testing meets aerospace quality standards. You will perform automated verification procedures for functional, payload, and bus tests to validate performance at the subsystem and system levels, conduct operational simulations to verify operational readiness, and oversee final activities, ensure configuration control, and support launch campaigns.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities

• Manage schedule priorities and execute work tasks to meet production timelines.
• Independently perform a variety of tasks according to detailed work instructions and established procedures.
• Operate mechanical and electrical ground support equipment to ensure smooth test operations.
• Communicate proactively with team members and supervisors regarding any challenges or obstacles.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues and implement corrective actions under guidance.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed, including documenting results in Jira and creating NCRs when necessary.
• Assist in managing activities related to satellite launch campaigns.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team, focusing on procedures, processes, tools, and 6S.
• Work closely with other production teams, ensuring clear communication so that satellite build-phase deadlines and technical specifications are met.

Qualifications (Must Haves)

• Relevant university degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Space Studies, Applied Physics, or similar, or equivalent experience in a related role.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience setting up and running tests and experiments.
• Excellent communication skills, with particular attention to detail in procedures, preparation, and execution.
• Experience using lab equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Able to work proficiently in a Linux environment.
• Ability to perform tests on satellite systems using Python or Shell scripts for routine tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and schematics.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication in a cross‑functional environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience using Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence)
• Ability to improve and/or write test scripts in Python
• Space background
• Knowledge of satellite systems
• Skills in electronics, mechanics, and embedded systems
