Job summary

Harrington Boyd is partnering with a global life sciences leader to recruit an SAP TM Consultant for Barcelona on a permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days from a home office.

You will lead SAP TM design, configuration and optimization for end-to-end transportation planning, execution, and freight management, while coordinating with ECC/S/4HANA integrations and multiple SAP modules. Fluency in English is essential; Spanish is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of SAP experience with a focus on SAP TM and logistics execution.
• Experience delivering at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation with embedded SAP TM.
• Strong integration knowledge between SAP TM and modules like EWM, SD, MM, LE and S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, configuration and optimization of SAP TM solutions across transportation planning, execution, freight management and logistics processes.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP TM solutions for stakeholders across supply chain, operations, procurement and finance.
• Drive end-to-end implementation activities: requirements, design, testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare support.
• Configure and maintain SAP TM functionality including freight planning, carrier collaboration, settlement and reporting.
• Provide governance, user training and best-practice guidance for ongoing adoption and continuous improvement.

Job description

Harrington Boyd are currently working with a global life sciences company who are searching for an SAP TM Consultant to join their team in Barcelona on a permanent basis! This position will offer hybrid working, with the opportunity to work from the home office 2-3 days per week.

The role:

• Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP TM solutions, supporting end-to-end transportation planning, execution, freight management, and logistics processes across the enterprise.
• Translate business transportation, logistics, carrier management, and freight settlement requirements into scaleable SAP TM solutions, ensuring alignment with stakeholders across supply chain, operations, procurement, and finance.
• Drive end-to-end implementation activities, including requirements gathering, solution design, integration with ECC/S/4HANA, testing, cutover planning, go-live, and hypercare support.
• Configure and maintain SAP TM functionality including freight planning, transportation execution, carrier collaboration, charge calculation, freight settlement, and reporting capabilities.
• Provide ongoing governance, user training, and best-practice guidance, ensuring effective adoption of SAP TM capabilities and continuous improvement of transportation and logistics processes.

We are searching for the following skills & experience:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience working with SAP, with a strong focus on SAP Transportation Management (TM) and logistics execution processes.
• Strong knowledge of SAP TM, including transportation planning, freight execution, carrier management, freight settlement, and logistics integration.
• Previous experience delivering at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation, including embedded SAP TM.
• Experience with SAP TM configuration, customization, and business process design.
• Strong understanding of integration between SAP TM and other SAP modules, including EWM, SD, MM, LE, and S/4HANA.
• Previous experience working in an international environment with global transportation and logistics operations.
• Experience working within life sciences, manufacturing, consumer goods, or other regulated industries.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is essential; Spanish would be a strong plus.
