Job description

Arkadia, established in 2020, is a pioneering force in the space industry. We have a clear vision: to make space exploration sustainable, accessible, and innovative. We are an in-space propulsion company, developing and commercializing the most performing chemical systems using green propellants, the real alternative to traditional storable propulsion.

Our headquarters are located in Castellon de la Plana on the Costa Azahar. We operate a 100% privately managed orbital engine Test Center at Castellón Airport, the first of its kind in Europe. This facility provides agility, flexibility and speed for tailored, rapid propulsion developments and for testing of engine prototypes and products.

We value work-life balance, which is reflected in flexible schedules and ongoing professional development opportunities.

As a Sales Engineer at Arkadia, you will play a key role in understanding customer propulsion needs and requirements and fulfilling them with Arkadia’s propulsion products and systems.

You will be responsible of engaging with customers during the whole sales cycle: from identifying them and making first contacts, to understanding mission needs and requirements, preparing ROM proposals and RFI/RFP to contract negotiations. You will also help understanding Arkadia’s Commercial Department about future market and customers needs to shape product portfolio.

This is a highly multidisciplinary role combining engineering, business and negotiation skills, with significant autonomy and direct interaction with customers, technical teams and external partners. You'll be doing:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our existing & potential Arkadia’s customers through continuous networking, attending industry events and performing market research.
  • Engage with customers to understand their mission requirements and needs, to see how they can be fulfilled with Arkadia’s product offering
  • Prepare, contribute to and review requests for information (RFIs) and request for proposals (RFPs) as well as preparation of preliminary ROM proposals.
  • Support contract negotiations in liaison with the legal team in order to close contracts and win bids.
  • Act as the main interface between customers and Arkadia's technical teams.
  • Represent Arkadia Space at conferences, trade fairs, and exhibitions.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including advising in the development of new products.
What you'll need
  • MSc. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; other STEM disciplines may be considered based on experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of space propulsion
  • Hands-on experience on hardware projects, gained through professional, academic, or university competition projects.
  • Technical understanding of spacecrafts and propulsion, and their relation to orbital manoeuvres and operations.
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel frequently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have
  • Demonstrated experience in technical sales, business development, or customer-facing roles within the space, aerospace, or a high-tech industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in participating in events, conferences or competitions, including student or young professional ones (SGAC, ISU, etc.)
  • Fluent in Spanish
