Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama invites applicants for a Runner - Food & Beverage. In this role you will support the F&B team, ensuring prompt delivery of food and beverages and assisting in setup, service, and closing of outlets.

You will collaborate with kitchen and service colleagues to uphold Ritz-Carlton standards and create memorable dining experiences. The position requires energy, a passion for guest service, and flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience in restaurants, bars, hotels, catering or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering food and beverages promptly and professionally to guests according to standards.
• Assist Waiters and Supervisors in setup, operation, and closing of restaurant, bar, or outlets services.
• Ensure orders are delivered accurately and timely.
• Support table preparation, clearing, cleaning and resetting tables.
• Assist in service stations and maintain stock levels of supplies.
• Communicate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor guest needs and requests and relay to team.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation in all work areas.
• Assist with transportation of food, beverages, equipment, and materials.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain service equipment in good condition and properly stored.
• Support high standards of service and guest engagement throughout dining.
• Report guest comments, service concerns or incidents to supervisors.
• Collaborate with all Food & Beverage outlets and resort departments.

• Delivering food and beverages promptly and professionally to guests according to established service standards.
• Assisting Waiters and Supervisors in the setup, operation, and closing of restaurant, bar, or outlet services.
• Ensuring that food orders are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Supporting table preparation and maintenance, including setting up, clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables.
• Assisting in the preparation of service stations and ensuring adequate stock levels of operational supplies.
• Communicating effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Monitoring guest needs and requests, responding promptly or communicating them to the appropriate team member.
• Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards in all assigned work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation of food, beverages, equipment, and service materials as required.
• Following all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety procedures.
• Ensuring that service equipment and tools are properly maintained and stored.
• Supporting the team in maintaining high standards of service and guest engagement throughout the dining experience.
• Reporting guest comments, service concerns, maintenance issues, or operational incidents to supervisors.
• Working collaboratively with all Food & Beverage outlets and other resort departments.

What We Are Looking For In You...

• Experience working in high-volume operations while maintaining exceptional service standards.
• Previous exposure to international hospitality environments.
