Fundación IIS Aragón is seeking a First Stage Researcher (R1) in a biomedical project. A Bachelor's in biotechnology/biomedicine/veterinary medicine/pharmacy and a Master in the biomedical field are required, plus six months of biomedical research experience.

Primary duties include in vitro/in vivo experiments on medulloblastoma models, data analysis, and presenting results. Ensure biosafety and animal protocols; start on 15 September 2026 and end on 25 September 2026.

Formación

• Hold a Master's degree in the biomedical field.
• Six months of experience in biomedical research.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments with medulloblastoma models under supervision.
• Collaborate in experimental design, data analysis and scientific development of project activities.
• Assist in presenting results in oral and written communications (articles, posters).
• Support operational functioning of the research group and maintain project tools/records.

Educación

Resolution of September 15, 2026, of the Aragon Health Research Institute Foundation (IIS Aragon), announcing a position for Researcher N3 [Ref. HR-26/036]

Required requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Hold a Master's degree in the biomedical field.
• Six months of experience in biomedical research.

The main functions to be developed are:

• Conducting in vitro and in vivo experiments with medulloblastoma models within the parameters of the funded project, under the supervision of the lead researcher.
• Collaboration in experimental design, as well as in data analysis and in the scientific development of the project activities, under the supervision of the lead researcher.
• Collaboration in the presentation of results in oral and written communications (articles, posters), both scientific and popular, under the direction of the responsible researcher.
• Collaboration in the operational functioning of the research group and in the maintenance of the project tools/record, working as a team in accordance with the guidelines of the principal investigator.
• Maintain up-to-date laboratory notebooks and experimental records in accordance with applicable good laboratory practices.

Ensure strict compliance with biosafety standards, occupational risk prevention, and animal experimentation protocols in the performance of their tasks

Start Period: Tuesday, 15th September 2026

End Period: 23:59 hours on Friday, September 25, 2026

a) Training and knowledge applicable to the position offered (0–20 points)

• Training in the field of biomedical research (0–10 points).
• Certificate of competence in animal experimentation (Function C) (0–5 points).
• Training in cancer research, demonstrated through the completion of undergraduate or master’s theses in this field (0–5 points).

b) Professional experience:

• Experience in cell culture, particularly primary cell cultures (0–15 points).
• Experience operating flow cytometers and using software packages for cytometry data analysis (0–10 points).
• Experience in surgery and experimental cancer models in rodents (0–10 points).
• Experience in data analysis and interpretation (0–5 points).

c) Training and skills for performing the position (0–25 points)

• Proficiency in computer-based environments: Microsoft Office, research information systems, and other specialized software environments (0–15 points).
• Level of English proficiency (0–10 points).
• Autonomy and planning and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Responsibility and ability to undertake and fulfill commitments.
• Teamwork.
