CINTECX collaborates with the GeoTech – Applied Geotechnologies Research Group at the University of Vigo to recruit a Researcher. The project focuses on AR graphical interfaces, geospatial data visualization, and innovative infrastructure monitoring tools.

The candidate will contribute to AR design, data integration, and testing within a 6-month initial contract, extendable up to 3 years, with potential for a predoctoral path. This is a full-time research role in Spain.

Formación

• Academic background in Informatics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master's degree candidates welcome.
• Programming skills in Python and/or C#.
• Experience with GIS and Unity.

Are you passionate about Augmented Reality, geospatial technologies, programming, and innovative solutions?

We are looking for a motivated Researcher to join the GeoTech – Applied Geotechnologies Research Group at the University of Vigo and contribute to an exciting research project focused on the development of next-generation tools for infrastructure monitoring and safety.

Research activities

The successful candidate will work on:

• Design and implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) graphical interfaces for the visualization and management of geospatial data.
• Integration of geospatial data and interactive visualization technologies.
• Testing and validation of the developed applications.
• Contract duration: Initial 6-month contract, extendable up to 3 years (with the possibility for a predoctoral contract).
• Contract type: Full-time.

Candidate profile

We are looking for a higher technician, engineer, or equivalent, with the following qualifications:

• Academic background related to Informatics, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Candidates currently pursuing a Master's degree are also welcome to apply.
• Programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python and/or C#.
• Experience working with GIS and/or Unity.
