Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) in Barcelona invites applications for a Research Technician within the Paediatric Pulmonology and Cystic Fibrosis Unit. The role focuses on maintaining registers and databases, and supporting clinical trials in paediatric respiratory diseases and CF.

The ideal candidate holds a CFGS FP2 Laboratory technician or equivalent, is fluent in Catalan, Spanish and English, and has experience in medical research or clinical trials.

VHIR offers a vacant position for a Research Technician within the Paediatric Pulmonology and Cystic Fibrosis Unit (Growth and Development Research Group).

Main responsibilities and duties:

• Maintenance of registers and databases
• Provide support to clinical trials
• Support the research group in paediatric respiratory diseases and cystic fibrosis

Education and qualifications:

Required:

• CFGS (Higher-Level Training Cycle) - FP2 Laboratory technician or equivalent
• Training in Excel and Data Bases.
• Professional fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

• Experience working in medical research or clinical trials

Desirable:

• Knowledge of REDCap

Labour conditions:

• Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
• Starting date: As soon as possible.
• Gross annual salary: 22.000€ - 25.000€ (Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.)
• Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities
