Job summary

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) in Barcelona is seeking a Project Support to Research to join the Plataforma ISCIII Biomodelos y Biobancos project. The role focuses on overseeing research projects, coordinating between sites and funders, and supporting proposal writing and budgeting.

You will liaise with partners, monitor deadlines, help identify new opportunities, manage project outcomes within the allocated budget, and contribute to a high‑level, international research

Qualifications

• Bsc and MSc in Experimental Science or Biology.
• Demonstrable experience in management of projects.
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable experience in the framework of support research infrastructures at national and international level.
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable experience in biobank space backgrounds.
• Full command of English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and give support to the research projects and activities within the Platform ISCIII of Biomodels and Biobanks.
• Liaise between project and funders; coordination between sites within international projects; coordinating and overseeing project reporting; keeping track of project agendas and deadlines.
• Assist in identifying new project opportunities for the research lines assigned.
• Support in the definition of project goals, advising on project partners, preparation of budget, support on proposal writing and submission.
• Manage the outcome of the research lines within the available budget.
