The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC) is seeking a Cleanroom Engineer to join the Metallisation and Implementation Areas, working in advanced microfabrication and semiconductor processing.

You will operate PVD technologies, optimize deposition processes, participate in device fabrication projects, and collaborate with researchers on innovative R&D activities within Spain's leading cleanroom facilities.

Formación

• Bachelor's in semiconductor engineering or related STEM field
• Interest in semiconductor manufacturing and micro/nanofabrication
• Hands-on lab or cleanroom experience
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Initiative, autonomy, eagerness to learn
• Experience in cleanroom processing, PVD or ion implantation would be highly appreciated

Responsabilidades

• Work with metallisation and ion implantation in a state-of-the-art cleanroom.
• Operate and optimise PVD technologies (sputtering and evaporation).
• Participate in semiconductor device fabrication and tech development.
• Perform process characterization using advanced measurement techniques.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers on R&D activities.
• Contribute to innovation projects in process simulation and QC

The Cleanroom Engineer-Metallisation and Implementation Areas.docx position at IMB-CNM (CSIC) offers an exceptional opportunity to work in advanced microfabrication, semiconductor processing, and nanotechnology research within Spain's largest cleanroom facilities.

As part of the CSIC JAE Programme, you will join a multidisciplinary team developing innovative technologies for microelectronics, sensors, nanomedicine, and next-generation devices.

What You'll Do

• Work with advanced metallisation and ion implantation processes in a state-of-the-art cleanroom.
• Operate and optimise PVD technologies, including sputtering and thermal evaporation.
• Participate in semiconductor device fabrication and technology development projects.
• Perform process characterisation using advanced measurement and analysis techniques.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and technical specialists on cutting-edge R&D activities.
• Contribute to innovation projects involving process simulation, quality control, and scientific research.

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in: Semiconductor Engineering, Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, Materials Science & Engineering, Engineering Physics, Related STEM disciplines
• Interest in semiconductor manufacturing and micro/nanofabrication
• Hands-on laboratory or cleanroom experience
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Teamwork and communication abilities
• Initiative, autonomy, and eagerness to learn
• Previous experience in cleanroom processing, thin-film deposition, PVD, semiconductor fabrication, metallisation, or ion implantation will be highly appreciated.
