UNSW Canberra invites applications for a Research Associate within the School of Systems and Computing. The role focuses on cryptography, machine learning and biometrics, contributing to research results and publications in international journals and conferences.

The appointment is a fixed-term, full-time position for two years, funded by an Australian ARC Discovery Grant. Visa sponsorship is not available; rights to work in Australia are required.

Formación

• PhD in CS or Math or related field relevant to cryptography and ML.
• PhD thesis submissions welcome; degree expected before commencement.
• Proven ability to conduct independent, innovative research.
• Publications in top venues such as Crypto, Eurocrypt, CCS, NDSS, IEEE TIFS/TPAMI.
• Strong background in post-quantum or applied cryptography; math skills helpful.
• Ability to apply deep learning models to biometrics research.
