• Completed degree in mechatronics engineering or closely related field.
• Familiarity with CAD design and 3D printing.
• Knowledge of programming languages (C/C++ or Python).
• Familiarity with microcontrollers and their accessories (Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
• Experience with automated laboratory instruments or robots.
• Prior research experience is a plus.

Offer Description

Accelerated Materials Discovery group is seeking to fill a research assistant position to help the development of autonomous laboratory. The successful candidate will join the team employing collaborative robots and AI in materials design. In particular, this position will be responsible for setting up an autonomus experiment focused on polymer processing. The experiments will involve various laboratory robots, collaborative and mobile robots as well as additional instruments for materials processing and characterization.

• completed degree in mechatronics engineering or closely related field
• familiarity with CAD design, 3D printing
• knowledge of programming language (C,C++ or Python)
• familiarity with microcontrollers and their accessories (Arudino, Rasberry)
• experience with automated laboratory instruments or robots
• prior research experience is a plus
