Job summary

Anduril is seeking a Spacecraft Operations Systems Engineer for Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO). You will own how our spacecraft plan, rehearse, and fly close to other objects, validating procedures against hardware-in-the-loop testbeds and driving changes across GNC, flight software, and ground software designs.

The role requires a strong engineering background and 4+ years in spacecraft operations or flight dynamics, with direct RPO experience and a U.S.

Qualifications

• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor-level degree in aerospace/engineering field or related discipline with strong engineering background.
• 4+ years of professional spacecraft operations, mission planning, or flight dynamics experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and own RPO mission plans and related timelines.
• Define and execute proximity operations during planning and on-console phases.
• Develop and validate procedures for close-approach, including go/no-go gates and conjunction screening.
• Lead mission operations plans across LEOP, commissioning, on-orbit checkout, and operations.
• Run day-in-the-life simulations and insert lessons learned into procedures or designs.
• Collaborate with AI&T, GNC, flight software, and ground software to validate sequences on flatsats and testbeds.
• Create metrics to monitor spacecraft and campaign performance and triage anomalies.
