Alignerr is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI Training) to author high-fidelity reasoning traces that guide how AI should think, plan, and decide. This is a fully remote, hourly contract with flexibility for experienced ML researchers to contribute to cutting-edge AI training data.

You will decompose complex problems into clear steps, mentor others on trace quality, and collaborate with a global team to advance alignment and model behavior.

Qualifications

• Experienced ML engineer or researcher with strong model reasoning, training or evaluation background.
• Ability to break down complex problems into structured reasoning steps.
• Deep knowledge of how LLMs work, their failure modes and training dynamics.
• Detail-oriented, precise thinker with rigorous approach.
• Clear written communicator; able to explain complex reasoning clearly.

Responsibilities

• Author high-fidelity reasoning traces that show how an AI should plan, use tools, and make decisions across real-world tasks.
• Decompose technical problems into clear, logical, well-documented steps for model training ground truth.
• Review and mentor structured traces for accuracy, consistency and strong planning documentation.
• Design data strategies to help LLMs navigate multi-step decision scenarios.
• Collaborate with a global team of ML professionals at the frontier of AI research.
