Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join a remote-first, international team. You will design and optimize backend services with Java and Spring Boot, implement REST APIs, and work across distributed systems with a focus on reliability and scalability.

You will apply LLM-based capabilities, RAG pipelines, and agent-tool orchestration to enhance backend features while maintaining code quality through tests, reviews, and strong DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• At least six years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot 2.x/3.x and Hibernate 5.x/6.x in production.
• Proven ability to build scalable distributed systems and REST APIs.
• Solid PostgreSQL knowledge and data modeling experience.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
• Hands-on familiarity with LLMs, RAG, and agent workflows.

Responsibilities

• Backend development: Design, develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• End-to-end feature delivery from requirements to testing and deployment.
• API development and integration for REST services and integrations.
• Distributed systems engineering for reliability and scalability.
• Event-driven architecture implementation with Kafka or similar.
• Database management with PostgreSQL and Hibernate for performance.
• Agentic AI integration and orchestration in backend workflows.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
