Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote AI Research Engineer with a focus on Reinforcement Learning to advance algorithms for robotics, optimization, and game AI. This fully remote role allows you to contribute from anywhere while collaborating with a global team.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD or MSc in CS/AI/ML, has proven RL research exposure or open-source work, and is proficient in Python with TensorFlow or PyTorch. Experience with Gym/MuJoCo/PyBullet is a plus.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or closely related field.
• Proven RL research experience with publications or significant open-source contributions.
• Strong theoretical RL background: Q-learning, policy gradients, actor-critic, deep RL.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with simulation environments (OpenAI Gym, MuJoCo, PyBullet).

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge RL research and develop novel agents and environments.
• Implement, test, and evaluate RL algorithms at scale.
• Design experiments to measure performance and scalability.
