Job summary

Synthires is seeking a highly skilled ML Engineer (MSc/PhD) for remote, worldwide engagement. This contractor role is part-time, approximately 15 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on Python coding, model development, training, and inference optimization.

The ideal candidate will have advanced degrees in a quantitative field, substantial ML experience, and a track record in building reproducible ML workflows and data pipelines. Immediate availability is preferred for fast onboarding.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in CS/ML/AI or related quantitative field.
• Strong ML research or industry experience required.
• Proficient in Python and building reproducible ML workflows.
• Experience with coding agents and model deployment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate ML models, training pipelines, and inference systems.
• Implement model components, data pipelines, evaluation systems, and numerical methods.
• Build reproducible workflows using Python and CLI tools.
• Debug numerical and system-level issues and optimize memory usage and performance.
• Create, solve, review, and validate challenging ML engineering tasks.
