Job summary
Alignerr is seeking a Mathematics Specialist (Masters/PhDs) for a fully remote hourly contract role. You will develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems, design statements across algebra and calculus, and evaluate AI-generated reasoning for rigor and coherence.
You will collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers, maintain mathematical clarity in notation and exposition, and communicate complex ideas clearly in English.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Mathematics or closely related field.
- Deep subject-matter expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics.
- Comfortable writing and running Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or problems.
- Fluent in English and able to communicate complex ideas clearly.
Responsibilities
- Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance and pedagogical value.
- Design complex problem statements across algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas.
- Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for accuracy, rigor, and logical coherence.
- Identify errors, gaps in reasoning, and areas where AI mathematical output falls short.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance.
- Ensure mathematical clarity and depth across all deliverables — notation, logic, and exposition included.
