Qualifications

Mathematics Expert (AI Training)

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for academics, researchers, and advanced practitioners who want to put their deep expertise to work on something genuinely frontier. No prior AI experience needed - just exceptional mathematical knowledge and a sharp, precise mind.

What You'll Do

• Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance and rigorous structure
• Apply your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas to design complex, meaningful problem sets
• Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, depth, and clarity
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to strengthen model performance
• Ensure mathematical rigor and precision across all deliverables - from problem statements to worked solutions

Who You Are

• Holder of a Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
• Deeply fluent in at least one core area: algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or equivalent
• Comfortable working with Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or problem-solving tasks
• Exceptionally precise in both written and verbal communication - you know how to make complex ideas clear
• Self-directed and reliable when working independently in an asynchronous environment
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Background in academic research, mathematical publishing, or curriculum design
• Familiarity with applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, or computational methods
• Experience reviewing or grading advanced mathematical work
