Job summary

One eSecurity is seeking a Junior Pentester to join our team in a 100% remote position. The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on web application penetration testing experience and a proactive, learning mindset.

You will perform security assessments, analyze authentication mechanisms, and report findings with remediation guidance. Ideal candidates have experience with OWASP Top 10/Testing Guide, Linux proficiency, and familiarity with common pentesting tools.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on web application penetration testing.
• Experience applying recognized penetration testing methodologies and standards (e.g., OWASP Testing Guide, OWASP Top 10, PTES).
• Good command of Linux environments, including command-line tools and scripting basics.
• Solid understanding of common web vulnerabilities (SQLi, XSS, CSRF, SSRF, auth flaws).
• Practical experience with Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Nikto, ffuf, Gobuster or similar tools.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS and other network protocols.
• Scripting or automation skills using Python, Bash or similar languages.
• Ability to document findings, assess impact, and provide remediation recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform security assessments and pentests on web applications to identify vulnerabilities.

• Assess vulnerabilities based on technical impact and business risk.
