Job summary

Domestiko.Com is seeking an experienced Especialista en Sistemas de Propulsión de Vehículos Pesados Remoto to advance heavy-vehicle propulsion technology. The role is fully remote, with work permitted from Tarragona, Catalonia, ES or connected regions, focusing on design, testing, and optimization for efficiency and emissions reduction.

You will contribute to propulsion system development, testing, and performance enhancements for commercial vehicles in a flexible, home-based setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 5+ years in heavy-duty propulsion design.
• Experience with engines, alternative fuels, electric/hybrid powertrains, and emissions control.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE and simulation tools.
• Fluent Spanish and English for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis and simulations of heavy-duty powertrains (engine, transmission, exhaust).
• Develop and refine component designs to meet performance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with remote teams to integrate new technologies.
• Interpret test data from prototype and production vehicles for improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitive advancements.
• Contribute to process and tool improvements in design workflows.
