Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 5+ years in heavy-duty propulsion design.
• Experience with engines, alternative fuels, electric/hybrid powertrains, and emissions control.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE and simulation tools.
• Fluent Spanish and English for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis and simulations of heavy-duty vehicle powertrains, including engine, transmission, and exhaust aftertreatment systems.
• Develop and refine component designs and system architectures to meet stringent performance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with remote engineering teams to integrate new technologies and solutions.
• Oversee and interpret test data from prototype and production vehicles, providing actionable insights for improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering issues related to propulsion system performance and durability.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive advancements in the heavy-duty vehicle sector.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and engineering tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in the design and development of heavy-duty vehicle propulsion systems.
• In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, alternative fuels, electric/hybrid powertrains, and emissions control technologies.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and CAE tools for simulation and analysis (e.g., ANSYS, GT-SUITE).
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools for vehicle testing.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamic principles and fluid dynamics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication skills for remote collaboration, including written and verbal proficiency in Spanish and English.
