Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a freelance CFD specialist to train and evaluate AI agents on expert fluid dynamics tasks. You will use CAD inputs to set up and run simulations, develop reference solutions, and write Python checks to verify results.

This fully remote role offers flexible scheduling and performance-based bonuses for high-quality work. The ideal candidate has a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering background (PhD preferred), several years of CFD experience (OpenFOAM/ANSYS/STAR-CCM+), strong

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field; PhD preferred but not required.
• Several years of hands-on CFD with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
• Solid verification and validation: mesh-independence studies and validation against benchmarks.
• Proficient in Python and GitHub, with English at B2 level or higher.
• Nice to have: aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery background; multiphase or particle-laden flow.

Responsibilities

• Help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks.
• Take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks.
• Collaborate with project teams and deliver high-quality results remotely.
