Job summary

Lifted (an Upwork Company) seeks CFD & Aerodynamic Engineers to design self-contained tasks for evaluating AI models. You will create precise problem statements, establish boundary conditions, and ensure solvable setups using OpenFOAM.

The role is fully remote, contract-based, with flexible hours (10–39 per week) and compensation of $80–$110 per hour, paid weekly through Upwork. Strong English writing and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience using OpenFOAM for CFD simulations.
• Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience with mesh generation, turbulence modeling, boundary conditions, post-processing and analysis.
• Ability to write clear, precise, and verifiable engineering problems.
• Excellent written English communication.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Design compact CFD tasks that evaluate AI models' engineering reasoning.
• Create clear problem statements with boundary conditions and setup.
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers to evaluate AI responses.
• Produce verified reference solutions for solvability.
• Review and refine tasks for clarity, accuracy, and difficulty.
• Apply OpenFOAM experience to create real-world scenarios.
• Work remotely in a fully asynchronous environment with scheduling flexibility.
