Job summary

CASER in Madrid seeks a Release Management Lead to own the corporate release process, ensuring a transparent framework across environments, coordinating with technical teams, vendors, and business functions.

You will drive governance, release planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement of CI/CD and DevOps practices, delivering reliable releases with clear visibility.

Location: Madrid or Pamplona.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Service Management, Change Management, or Release Management.
• Proven experience managing releases in large-scale IT & Data environments.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments.
• Understanding of cloud architectures and enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and technology risk management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Process-oriented mindset with governance, control, continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and automation.
• Fluent in English: B2+ - C1.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain the Release Management framework.
• Coordinate release calendars and manage interdependencies between releases.
• Assess risks and ensure rollback and contingency plans are in place.
• Coordinate Development, QA, Operations, Infrastructure, and Business teams for release execution.
• Ensure documentation for each deployment is available.
• Define environment promotion practices and oversee segregation controls.
• Organize and lead release planning and governance meetings.
• Monitor progress and coordinate incident resolution during and after releases.
• Drive continuous improvement of delivery processes and automation practices (CI/CD, DevOps).
• Enable data-driven decision-making through reporting and metrics.
