Referment is partnering with a leading pan-European trading platform to hire a talented Unix Application Support Engineer to join their Madrid-based operations team. In a high-performance, real-time trading environment you will support production and test trading platforms, ensuring stability and reliability, while applying Unix skills to complex financial software.

Formación

• Expert-level Unix/Linux command line experience.
• Advanced Bash, Python and/or Perl scripting.
• Availability to work late shifts 16:00–00:00 CET.
• Proactive focus on application support rather than system administration.
• Willingness to a hybrid model, attending the office 3 days a week.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with monitoring tools and performance analysis.
• Familiarity with regular expressions.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Based in Spain with right to work.

Responsabilidades

• Monitoring trading platforms and responding to incidents.
• Troubleshooting, recovery, and root cause analysis.
• Automating tasks and reporting (Bash, Python, Perl).
• Supporting application deployments and change processes.
• Working with financial messaging protocols (FIX / ITCH).
• Analysing Unix system performance.
• Collaborating with Ops, QA, Dev, and Market Control teams.
