Referment, partnering with a leading pan-European trading platform, seeks a Unix Application Support Engineer in Madrid. You will support production and test trading platforms in a high-performance, real-time environment, focusing on application support rather than pure sysadmin work.

You will work 16:00–00:00 CET in a hybrid model, attending the office 3 days a week, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe and beyond to ensure stability and reliability of critical financial

Qualifications

• Expert-level Unix/Linux command line experience.
• Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Python, and/or Perl.
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
• Availability to work late shifts (16:00 to 00:00 CET).
• Hybrid working model, attending the office 3 days a week.

Responsabilités

• Monitor trading platforms and respond to incidents.
• Troubleshoot, recover, and perform root cause analysis.
• Automate tasks and reporting (Bash, Python, Perl).
• Support application deployments and change processes.
• Work with FIX/ITCH protocols and financial messaging systems.
• Analyze Unix system performance and optimize it.
• Collaborate with Ops, QA, Dev, and Market Control teams.
