Job summary

GMV Spain seeks an Embedded Software Engineer for Railway Systems to join the Software Engineering team within the Intelligent Transport Systems sector. You will develop and integrate embedded Linux applications for rail transport, contributing to passenger information, public address, CCTV and on-board subsystems.

The role involves working with multidisciplinary teams on design, validation, testing and documentation, plus opportunities for international mobility and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar with interest/experience in embedded software for transport systems.
• Experience in C/C++ development for embedded/linux environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Embedded software development in C/C++ for railway systems primarily on Linux.
• Integrate railway ITS solutions including PIS, PA, PAS, CCTV and embedded communications.
• Develop and integrate components for device communications and network services.
• Collaborate on HMI, configuration tools, monitoring and diagnostics applications.
• Analyze and improve performance, memory use, stability and fault tolerance of embedded apps.
• Conduct unit and integration tests in lab and customer environments; assist validation.
• Produce technical documentation covering design, integration, installation and operation.
• Provide support during integration, validation and maintenance phases.
