TechTeamz is seeking an experienced RF Subsystems Engineer for its Advanced Nanosatellite Missions in Spain. The role covers the full RF lifecycle from architecture definition to hardware integration, HIL testing and over‑the‑air validation.

You will work on end-to-end RF subsystem architectures, link budgets, and RF front‑end design across multiple bands, collaborating with systems and payload teams in a space environment.

Formación

• ~5+ years of RF engineering experience in space applications.
• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with UHF, S‑band and X‑band systems.
• Familiar with CST, ADS, HFSS or similar tools.
• Knowledge of spectrum analysers, VNAs and RF test equipment.
• Experience with CSP, CCSDS protocols and RF payload concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Define end-to-end RF subsystem architectures for nanosatellite missions.

RF Subsystems Engineer – Satellite Communications & Space Technology - Advanced Nanosatellite Missions - Spain

We’re looking for an experienced RF Subsystems Engineer to design, develop and validate communication subsystems for advanced nanosatellite missions. This is a hands‑on role spanning the full RF lifecycle — from link budgets and architecture definition to hardware integration, HIL testing and over-the-air validation .

What you’ll work on

• Define end-to-end RF subsystem architectures
• Perform link budget analysis, RF chain modelling and performance optimisation
• Design and integrate RF front‑end solutions across UHF/VHF, S‑band and X‑band
• Define subsystem requirements and interfaces with systems and payload teams
• Support integration, verification and validation , including HIL and over-the-air testing
• Evaluate RF components, technologies and suppliers
• Explore onboard signal processing and data reduction for RF payloads
• Assess advanced RF sensing concepts, including signal detection, classification and geolocation

What we’re looking for

• ~5+ years of RF engineering experience , ideally within satellite, space or aerospace applications
• ~ MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field
• ~ Hands‑on experience with UHF, S‑band and/or X‑band systems
• ~ Experience with tools such as CST, ADS, HFSS or similar
• ~ Practical knowledge of spectrum analysers, VNAs and RF test equipment
• ~ Familiarity with modulation schemes such as GMSK, QPSK, 8PSK and DVB‑S2
• ~ Knowledge of communication protocols such as CSP and CCSDS
• ~ RF payload, DSP, signal analysis or sensing experience is a strong advantage
• ~ Experience with ECSS standards and space‑grade RF qualification is a plus
