Lubrizol Corporation in Barcelona seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead quality control and quality assurance efforts across manufacturing processes. You will ensure robust laboratory practices, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Operations, R&D, and technical teams to deliver reliable products.

The role requires hands-on lab work, analytical method development, root cause analysis, and strong leadership to coach and develop the Quality team while meeting safety and regulatory

Formación

• University degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in a Quality Control and Quality Assurance environment in chemical manufacturing.
• 7+ years of experience working with ISO9001 or other quality management systems.
• Knowledge of polymer materials, polymer testing methodologies, and polymer manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with analytical and physical testing techniques, method development, troubleshooting, and interpretation of test results.
• Experience leading customer complaints and non-conformity investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Proven people leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and laboratory information management systems.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain site processes in line with quality standards and approvals.
• Manage calibration of Quality Department lab equipment with internal and external partners.
• Coordinate investigations to help prevent recurring issues in materials and products.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives including root cause analysis and CAPAs.
• Develop and implement new analytical methods, test plans, and work instructions.
• Provide technical leadership on polymer-related quality challenges with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in lab activities including method development and data review.
• Participate in corporate quality audits and support follow-up actions.
• Contribute to site annual quality and safety objectives.
• Develop the team through coaching and learning opportunities.
