Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor II to lead QA on the manufacturing shop floor in Spain. You will oversee day-to-day QA activities, ensure GMP compliance, and drive cost-conscious quality performance while mentoring other supervisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering is required.
• 2+ years of experience supervising a team and at least 2 years in a manufacturing production environment.
• Experience in regulated pharmaceutical industry.
• Thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance operations with FDA and GMP regulations.
• Direct manufacturing and regulatory interface experience is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, influence, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate work within the department and with other departments.
• Availability to work a 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 9:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.; alternate weekends).

Responsibilities

• Leads a team in the Quality function and manages staffing and performance.
• Provide Quality support on the manufacturing shop floor.
• Support Operations to meet the production schedule.
• Document exceptions and resolve quality/compliance issues with operations.
• Propose changes and implement procedures for simplification and improvements.
• Investigate QC holds and quarantines and oversee corrective actions.
• Review and approve procedures and change requests.
• Assist continuous improvement initiatives and may back up the QA Manager.
• Review/batch records and participate in production-related tasks.
