Shakers is seeking a QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to join our fintech spend management platform. You will own automated tests across integration, component and UI levels and collaborate with engineering squads in a DevOps-driven environment.

You’ll design test plans, implement Python-based frameworks (Pytest/Selenium/Playwright), triage results, and drive quality with an automation-first mindset. This is a full-time role with remote/hybrid options in Barcelona.

Formación

• 4+ years in QA engineering in a software development environment.
• Hands-on with a Python test automation framework (Pytest, Selenium or Playwright, or equivalent).
• Experience designing, writing and running manual test cases.
• Version control with Git.
• Familiarity with AWS services.
• Good grasp of the agile lifecycle and broad Computer Science fundamentals.

QA Automation Engineer (SDET) - Fintech / Spend Management

At Shakers, we're partnering with a global, award-winning company in the corporate spend and expense management space to bring on a QA Automation Engineer. Fully remote role, embedded with the engineering squads that build their interconnected set of platform solutions.

The challenge

The product is a broad, interconnected system, and quality has to hold across every moving part. You'll own test coverage at the component, integration, and UI level: designing test plans, choosing the right methodology per component, and turning manual effort into automation the whole team can rely on. Day-to-day, you'll pair with developers to design systems for testability, triage and analyze results, and debug across production, test and development environments inside an agile, DevOps-driven setup. What matters here is depth of evidence and a real automation-first mindset, not just running scripts.

Requirements

• Availability for a hybrid model (2 days in the office per week) in Barcelona.
• C1 level of English and Spanish.
