Job summary

Deutsche Telekom AG in Granada is seeking a Python Developer to join a small internal team focused on developing, integrating, and operating new services for mobile planning processes. You will work on projects replacing a monolithic system, rewriting a PowerBI setup into a service-oriented architecture, and integrating Matlab-derived tooling into new processes.

The role requires strong Python development, web services/API design, databases/ORMs, and Git, with fluent English.

Qualifications

• Background in data analysis with strong Python development skills.
• Experience building web services and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with databases and ORMs; Git proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving software for complex products and services throughout the development lifecycle.
• Clarifying requirements; devising concepts and specifications for modifying software.
• Carrying out relevant programming work (coding).
• Preparing and maintaining software documentation.
• Designing system tests and test automation.
• Installing and configuring software for complex products and services.
• Supporting team members during fault analysis and fault clearance.

Three projects are currently underway in this area, namely PreHCM NewMobile, FNP Cockpit and freiHEIGHT, in which IT solution designs have already been created and requirements specified, which are now to be implemented.PreHCM NewMobile is the replacement of an existing, monolithic application in which parameter registrations for mobile radio sites at the Federal Network Agency were previously coordinated by e-mail and are now to run automatically via M2M interfaces. FNP Cockpit is currently a PowerBI solution whose current architecture and data provision are problematic and is therefore to be completely rewritten in a service-orientated way to fit better into the environment. freiHEIGHT is currently a Matlab application that helps to analyse security reserves at mobile radio sites.
