Job summary

Desigual seeks a Purchase Specialist to drive value creation through unbiased procurement of indirect categories, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and alignment with business needs. You will collaborate with internal teams to collect requirements and manage tendering and sourcing processes.

You will negotiate terms, review contracts with Legal, onboard suppliers, analyze spend, and identify cost-saving opportunities as part of category management initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience managing purchasing department
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in local language and English
• Advanced user in MS Excel
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant field
• Team-worker, attention to detail, autonomous and proactive
• Knowledge of SAP
• Sharp negotiation skills
• Project management demonstrated experience

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between Procurement and internal departments, understanding their needs
• Lead tendering and sourcing processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) for indirect goods and services
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms
• Collaborate with Legal on the review of contracts
• Evaluate, select, and onboard suppliers through structured and professional processes
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, operational efficiencies, and process improvements
• Develop and execute category management strategies for indirect procurement

Key aspects of the role

Indirect Procurement

• Act as the link between Procurement and internal departments, understanding their needs
• Collect, analyze, and prioritize procurement requirements for indirect goods and services
• Ensure alignment between business needs, budget constraints, and internal policies
• Lead tendering and sourcing processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) for indirect goods and services
• Ensure objective and unbiased decision-making, based on clear criteria (total cost, quality, service, risk)
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms
• Collaborate with Legal on the review of contracts
• Evaluate, select, and onboard suppliers through structured and professional processes
• Identify and mitigate supplier-related risks (financial, operational, reputational)
• Develop and execute category management strategies for indirect procurement
• Analyze spend, market dynamics, and optimization opportunities by category
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, operational efficiencies, and process improvements
• Actively contribute to the company’s financial and strategic objectives

Artificial intelligence
