Descripción del empleo

ABOUT US

We are dedicated to the research, design, validation, manufacture and distribution of anti-allergic vaccines within the allergen immunotherapy sector.

Our Technical, R&D and Clinical Trials headquarters are located in Zamudio, which is also currently home to our only manufacturing site. In this context, we have a strong growth outlook for the coming years.

Our value proposition for our people is based on:

  • PEOPLE-CENTRIC: We put people and their professional development at the centre of what we do.
  • SELF-DEMANDING PEOPLE: We encourage individual accountability and high standards in pursuit of shared goals.
  • CURIOUS PEOPLE: We learn through innovation and value the experience and knowledge that each person brings to the organisation.
ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Zamudio and take overall responsibility for the management of strategic projects linked to ROXALL’s industrial growth and development. We are looking for a senior professional with proven experience in managing complex industrial projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other highly regulated industries. The position will have a strong focus on execution: turning project objectives into a structured plan, ensuring the achievement of key milestones and driving effective coordination across the different functions, engineering partners, suppliers and other stakeholders involved.

This is therefore a role requiring strong cross-functional leadership, anticipation and results orientation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the overall planning, coordination, execution and monitoring of assigned projects, from initial phases through commissioning and project close-out.
  • Develop and maintain the Project Master Plan, defining phases, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and required resources.
  • Develop and manage complex project schedules using Microsoft Project or other professional project planning tools.
  • Identify and manage the critical path, anticipating potential deviations and implementing corrective actions to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate the different technical and functional workstreams involved in the project, including Engineering, Production, Quality, Validation/Qualification, Maintenance, IT, Supply Chain, HSE and other relevant functions.
  • Coordinate the activities of engineering partners, contractors, suppliers and other external partners, ensuring effective follow-up of commitments, deliverables and deadlines.
  • Monitor the project budget and CAPEX, identifying deviations and areas requiring decisions or corrective action.
  • Implement effective mechanisms to track risks, issues, changes, dependencies and pending decisions.
  • Establish clear project governance and prepare the information required for the different project monitoring and decision-making bodies.
  • Facilitate decision-making and ensure the early escalation of critical risks or deviations.
  • Ensure effective coordination between the project’s technical requirements and the requirements of a regulated pharmaceutical and GMP environment.
  • Drive the fulfilment of commitments made by the different stakeholders, providing cross-functional and results-oriented leadership.
  • Ensure clear and structured communication regarding project progress, key risks and required decisions.
REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a professional with:

  • University degree in Engineering —Industrial, Industrial Organisation, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or similar— or an equivalent technical background.
  • Solid professional experience in managing complex industrial projects, ideally involving the construction, expansion, transformation or commissioning of manufacturing facilities.
  • Proven experience managing projects involving multiple disciplines, suppliers and internal functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Gantt-based planning, dependency management and critical path analysis.
  • Experience managing and monitoring timelines, resources, risks and budgets/CAPEX.
  • Experience working with engineering companies, contractors and technical suppliers.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food, medical device or other highly regulated industries will be particularly valued.
  • Knowledge of GMP environments and the qualification and validation requirements associated with pharmaceutical facilities and processes.
  • High level of English ( C1 ), required to operate effectively in an international environment. German language skills would be considered an advantage.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Permanent employment with ROXALL.
  • Direct involvement in a strategic phase of the company’s growth and industrial transformation.
  • Leadership of projects with a direct impact on the future development of our Zamudio site.
  • An international, technical and highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • A professional opportunity offering a high degree of autonomy, responsibility and cross-functional exposure.
OTHERS
  • We are particularly looking for someone with hands‑on project execution experience: a professional accustomed to managing demanding projects, dealing effectively with unforeseen situations, anticipating potential issues and maintaining a strong focus on key project milestones.
  • Someone able to combine technical rigour, planning and pragmatism with cross-functional leadership, capable of mobilising multidisciplinary teams and delivering results without the need for direct hierarchical authority.
