A global pharmaceutical company is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Project Manager to own the complete lifecycle of pharmaceutical products from development to launch. Based in Barcelona, the successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams and external partners, manage risks and budgets, and ensure timely decision-making. This role offers real responsibility in a fast-paced environment, suitable for professionals with extensive experience in managing pharmaceutical projects and a strong understanding of complex generics and injectables.

Formación

• 10+ years’ experience managing pharmaceutical products or projects.
• Proven experience taking products through regulated development to launch.
• Strong understanding of complex generics, injectables, or biosimilars.

Responsabilidades

• Own and drive pharmaceutical product projects end-to-end.
• Build and manage project plans, timelines, and key milestones.
• Coordinate Regulatory, Supply Chain, Technical Services, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams.
• Manage external partners including CMOs and CDMOs.
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
• Drive decision-making and remove barriers to progress.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial milestones.
• Support global regulatory submissions and product launches.
• Prepare materials for governance and senior stakeholder meetings.
• Travel internationally to manufacturing and partner sites as required.

Overview

Project Manager – Global Product Development & Launch

Location: Hybrid – Sofia, Lisbon or Barcelona

Contract: Full-time - Permanent

This is a fast-growing, international pharmaceutical business operating across more than 130 global markets with a broad network of commercial and manufacturing partners. Despite its scale, the organisation runs as a lean, agile operation where decisions are made quickly and individuals have genuine influence. The focus is on complex generics, specialty medicines, injectables, and biosimilars, built around smart product licensing models and best-in-class manufacturing partnerships. The business launches products continuously, expands into new markets year on year, and invests heavily in product lifecycle management.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the heart of the company’s product engine.

As a Senior Pharmaceutical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of pharmaceutical products from development through registration, launch, and into commercial life. You will coordinate cross-functional internal teams and global external partners to ensure products move forward at pace, on budget, and with clear, timely decision-making.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role suited to someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants real responsibility rather than a narrow coordination function.

Experience & Background

• MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or similar discipline
• MBA is an advantage but not essential
• 10+ years’ experience managing pharmaceutical products or projects
• Proven experience taking products through regulated development to launch
• Strong understanding of complex generics, injectables, or biosimilars
• Solid knowledge of global regulatory pathways (EMA, FDA, PMDA, LATAM)
• Comfortable operating across functions, geographies, and cultures
• Commercially minded, decisive, and delivery-focused
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
