Applus+ IDIADA is seeking an experienced Driving Performance Project Engineer to lead the Air Drag service for commercial vehicles. The role combines engineering expertise with project management to drive air drag optimizations and deliverables for clients.

The ideal candidate will coordinate tests, analyze results, and present findings while contributing to R&D efforts and continuous improvement across internal processes. A hybrid work model offers flexibility.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Driving Performance Project Engineer to join our team to lead the Air Drag service of commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

• Manage Air Drag projects, including timelines, task coordination, and resource planning
• Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables meet quality standards
• Customer communications and commercial tasks related Air Drag activities

Technical Development

• Air Drag test coordination and supervision
• Data analysis and reporting
• Definition of countermeasures for results optimization

Client Interaction & Innovation

• Present testing results and technical findings to clients
• Propose technical improvements and defend engineering solutions
• Contribute to R&D projects to develop new services and capabilities
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in internal processes

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

• Project management experience in automotive engineering projects
• Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving abilities
• Excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
• Customer-focused approach with ability to work autonomously
• Flexibility to travel internationally as required
• Valid B driving license (additional licenses are a plus)

Education

• Master's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electronics, Automotive, or related field)

Languages

• English: Fluent (mandatory)
• Spanish: Valuable
• Additional languages (German, French, Italian, etc.) are highly appreciated
