A leading technology consulting firm in Spain seeks a detail-oriented Product Owner for a 9-month contract with potential extensions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Agile methodologies, especially within Scrum or SAFe environments, and possess a strong understanding of RESTful API design principles. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is also required.

Qualifications

• Trained in Agile development methodology with demonstrated, hands‑on experience as a Product Owner / backlog owner in a Scrum or SAFe environment
• API product experience: strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, API lifecycle management, developer experience, and the ability to extend API capabilities into a broader platform and product ecosystem.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical aptitude and extreme attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑relevant language for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated experience with cross‑functional stakeholder management, including customer‑facing communication, business negotiation, and presentation to senior leadership.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams, make difficult trade‑off decisions, and clearly communicate rationale to stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

• Experience with IoT technology, BMS/EPMS systems, MQTT or other streaming/pub-sub protocols, and/or hardware‑firmware integration in operational technology environments.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure concepts: power distribution, environmental monitoring, critical systems, and the operational workflows that depend on this data.
• Experience with API gateway platforms, developer portals, and API monetization models (usage‑based pricing, tiered SLAs, self‑service provisioning).
