PSD Group is seeking a Product Owner to join the Data Intelligence team on a 12-month contract, based in Barcelona or remote within Europe. The role focuses on building a central orchestration layer between AI computing units and external services, translating business needs into technical specs.

You will collaborate with the Product Manager and Technical Lead, bridging business and tech teams, with emphasis on Python, Ray, GitLab, and Angular in a fast-paced aviation data environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in product management with a technical focus.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specs.
• Familiarity with Python, Ray, GitLab and Angular.
• Strong project management, coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and think strategically in a fast-paced environment.

My client is the air transport industry's IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft, and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe, and sustainable air travel. They are looking to hire an experienced Product Owner on a contract basis for a 12-month contract, based in Barcelona Or Remote.

About the Role

The Data Intelligence team develops and deploys data-driven and AI-powered solutions to optimize operations in the aviation industry, with a particular focus on reducing CO₂ emissions. For example, our client’s technology helps airlines save fuel during climbs by computing optimal climb speeds based on factors such as air density, aircraft weight, and flight conditions. They are seeking a Product Owner to help build from the ground up a new solution which will act as a central orchestration layer between AI computing units and external services. This core component will manage computations based on defined parameters while dynamically scaling to meet workload demand. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Product Technical Lead to translate product requirements into technical specifications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of product management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to understand and translate product requirements into technical specifications.
• Work closely with the Product Technical Lead to manage the implementation of new features and the resolution of bugs.
• Maintain a deep understanding of Freyja and the technology stack used to build it, including Python, Ray, GitLab, and Angular.
• Serve as the point of contact for the technical aspects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external partners.
• Contribute to the development of product roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
• Provide input on product design, architecture, and overall user experience from a technical perspective.

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in product management or a related role with a focus on technical products.
• Strong understanding of translating business requirements into technical requirements.
• Familiarity with the technology stack: Python, Ray, GitLab, and Angular.
• Excellent project management and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
