Pixelz is hiring a full-time Product Manager to join the team.
We’ve made the shift from an AI-retouching company to a platform that helps e-commerce and fashion brands create, manage and deliver visual content at scale. That means retouching, but also digital twins and virtual models, AI-generated backgrounds and video, all running through the same platform and workflow engine. We also use AI internally to improve our own operations, including AI agents in our tooling. This role touches both sides: the customer-facing product and the internal systems that make our production engine faster and smarter.
You’ll own discovery and delivery for platform and workflow features, working closely with engineering, design, art direction and production operations across Barcelona and Vietnam. You’ll need to understand both sides of the business: the software layer customers touch, and the operational engine (workflow logic, quality control, volume at scale) that makes the software mean anything.
How We Work
We are a small, close product team, and how we work together matters as much as what we ship.
- Team first. We support each other, share context openly, and solve problems together. Nobody wins an argument at the expense of a colleague.
- Relationships before roadmaps. Product here only works through trust with engineering, design, operations and sales. Building those relationships is the first job, not a side task.
- Context before solutions. Our platform and workflows exist for reasons. We expect new people to learn how things work and why before proposing to change them.
- Working backwards. We start from the customer problem, write it down clearly, and only then move to solutions. We use PRFAQs, product trios and a shared product development process.
- Accuracy and ownership. We say what we know, check what we don’t, and update fast when we’re wrong.
- Respect for each other’s time. We work across time zones. Being on time, prepared and clear is part of the culture.
Responsibilities
- Own discovery and definition for platform features, with a strong focus on AI-generated content workflows (image and video generation, virtual models, GenAI backgrounds) and how they integrate with production.
- Build strong working relationships with engineering, design, art direction, production and commercial teams, and work through our product trios and existing ways of working.
- Contribute to internal AI initiatives, including agentic workflows and tools that improve how our own teams operate.
- Translate customer problems into requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, working backward from the customer outcome, not from what’s technically convenient.
- Make prioritization calls using real inputs: usage data, customer research, market signals and operational constraints. Be able to explain the tradeoff, not just the decision.
- Understand the compliance landscape around AI-generated content (EU AI Act, content provenance and watermarking standards like C2PA) well enough to factor it into product decisions early.
- Work closely with engineering on backend and API features. You need enough technical depth to have a real conversation about architecture and tradeoffs.
- Run the agile cadence with your team (stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement) and keep everyone focused on what moves the roadmap forward.
- Bring customer-centric thinking into every team you work with, consistently, not just in a kickoff deck.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years as a Product Manager, owning products end to end from discovery to launch, ideally in SaaS or B2B platforms.
- A track record of working well inside an established team: building trust with peers, handling disagreement constructively, and making others around you better.
- Experience in fashion, e-commerce or AI. Any one of the three is fine.
- Genuine interest in AI for content generation and agentic workflows. This is most of what the role touches.
- Solid product discovery skills: you know how to stay in the problem space, ask good questions, and separate what people say from what they do.
- Familiarity with structured, hypothesis-driven methods built around working backward from the customer problem.
- Strong technical fluency: APIs and databases. You can challenge engineering constructively, not just take their word for it.
- Clear written and spoken English. You’ll translate between technical, business and customer audiences regularly.
- Comfortable with ambiguity. We’re building the playbook for AI content at scale as we go.
- Humility to learn first. The best people we hire spend their first weeks listening and understanding before changing things.
What We Offer
- A full-time role with real ownership, in an international team with a flat, direct and supportive culture. Good ideas get heard regardless of title.
- A team that has worked together for years and genuinely helps each other.
- Flexible working time and a hybrid setup, based in our Barcelona office.
- Real exposure to how an AI product platform is built at production scale.
- Flexible compensation (Ticket Restaurant, transport, etc.) via Cobee/Pluxee.
- Long-term career development as the platform keeps expanding.
About Pixelz
- Founded in 2011 in Holstebro, Denmark, Pixelz started as “Remove the Background”, a simple way for e-commerce companies to get clean product images. Solving for fluctuating volumes, slow workflows and inconsistent quality led us to build SAW (Specialist Assisted Workflow): breaking retouching into discrete steps, each assisted by AI. That same logic, human expertise plus AI structured for scale, is now the foundation for the broader platform we’ve built beyond retouching.
