Galtea is seeking a Product Engineer to own key user flows end-to-end on our AI platform, from problem definition to shipped product. You will implement scalable backend services and intuitive frontend experiences, using modern frameworks and AI-assisted development tools.

You will collaborate closely with founders, product leads, and designers to translate complex user needs into elegant technical solutions in a hybrid/remote-friendly environment.

Galtea is seeking a product-driven Product Engineer to help build and scale our innovative platform. In this role, you will be a key individual contributor, working closely with the team to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions. You will own user-facing flows end to end, from architectural decisions through to shipped product, and play a vital role in executing our technical roadmap.

What you'll be doing

As a Product Engineer, you will take ownership of key user flows within Galtea's AI platform end to end, from problem definition through architecture, implementation, and iteration. You will lean on strong architectural judgment and modern development practices, including harness-based and AI-assisted development, to move quickly without sacrificing quality. You will champion development best practices, participate in architectural discussions, and help drive the platform forward in a fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities:

• Product-Centric Flow Ownership: Own key user flows end to end. Proactively identify and address user pain points, working closely with Product Management to define and resolve them.
• Architectural Judgment: Apply sound architectural patterns and development best practices across the stack. Make pragmatic design decisions that balance speed with long-term maintainability, leveraging harness-based and AI-assisted development workflows to ship faster.
• Full-Stack Execution: Build and maintain both backend services (Node.js, NestJS) and intuitive frontend experiences (React, Vue.js, or other modern frameworks), with working proficiency across the stack rather than deep backend specialization.
• Feature Implementation: Design and build complex features end to end, contributing to lightweight technical design discussions and delivering performant, reliable services.
• Collaborative Development: Work effectively within the engineering team, participating in peer code reviews and contributing to a culture of shared learning and continuous improvement.
• Scalability & Performance: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring our platform is resilient, secure, and ready to scale.
• Engineering Excellence: Champion best practices for code quality, testing, and maintainability. Write clean, well-documented code that other engineers can learn from.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the founders, product leads, and designers to translate complex user needs into elegant technical solutions, acting as a key voice in product and technical roadmapping.

About you

We are seeking a product-minded engineer with solid technical range across the stack and a proven history of shipping product in high-growth environments.

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in a full-stack capacity, with a track record of shipping high-quality, user-facing product.
• Scaleup & Startup DNA: You’ve been in a high-growth startup or scaleup environment before. You thrive in ambiguity, know how to pragmatically balance speed with long-term technical debt, and build for scale.
• Product Ownership: Proven ability to take a user flow from problem definition to production, making sound trade-offs between product needs and technical constraints.
• Architectural Understanding: Good grasp of architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, etc.) and development best practices. Working knowledge of Node.js (or equivalent) and TypeScript.
• Frontend Prowess: Strong command of a modern frontend framework (React, Vue.js, etc.) and the ability to build complex, responsive, and performant user interfaces.
• Database & Systems Awareness: Working experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, understanding the trade-offs and knowing when to use each.
• Harness-Based Development: Skilled at working within AI-assisted or harness-based development tooling (e.g., Claude Code and similar agentic coding tools), with the judgment to apply good engineering practices, review standards, and architectural discipline.
• Product & Design Sensibility: You don't just build features; you understand the "why" behind them. You can collaborate effectively with designers (e.g., in Figma) and product managers to find the best user-centric solutions.

Pluses:

• Experience in DevOps, building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cutting-edge LLM services, APIs, and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Experience with AI-assisted or harness-based development tooling (e.g., Claude Code and similar agentic coding tools).
• Mathematical aptitude and strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Education and Languages:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical (and extensive) experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is a plus.
