Alan is hiring product designers to build the new standard in prevention insurance, joining a global team across Europe. You will work with product managers, researchers, and engineers to create meaningful health experiences that scale across platforms.

Based in or near Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona, you will be onsite twice per week and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive design community focused on impactful health journeys.

Formación

• 5+ years of product design experience.
• Track record of shipping quality products in cross-functional teams.

About the role

Product designers at Alan are at the forefront of building our product(s), taking them from inception to completion. They work hand in hand with product managers, researchers, and engineers to ensure we create meaningful and human experiences that improve the health of our members.

As a product designer, you will:

• Develop a product vision and enable teams to explore, ideate, and experiment towards it. When required, you should be able to autonomously take product bets from zero to one.




• Communicate transversally and be a compelling storyteller, employing written visual and verbal techniques.




• Build an understanding of our members to nurture product thinking and transform insights into actionable opportunities.




• Maintain strong working relationships and collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers, from identifying problems and opportunities to finding solutions and delivering the product(s).




• Develop and evangelize design understanding and sensibility across the organization, improving ways of working and design processes.




• Mentor junior designers, increasing collective performance and quality across the team.




• Deliver a UI consistent with Alan’s brand with thoughtful design choices and a high-quality bar in delivering products.




• Contribute to the design system with components documentation for designers and engineers.




• Evaluate and maintain the quality of Alan’s product through continuous monitoring and testing.

Qualifications

• Based in (or within commuting distance of) one of our hubs (Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona), with the ability to work onsite twice per week.

• 5+ years of product design experience - You've designed and built products from concept to launch




• Track record of shipping quality products - You're experienced working within cross-functional product and engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences




• Design mentorship experience - You've coached and guided junior designers, helping them grow their skills and careers




• Full-stack design expertise - You have proven skills across UX research, UI design, and visual design, with the ability to deliver production-ready assets that developers can implement seamlessly




• Embrace of AI and other innovative tools - You're curious about and experienced with leveraging AI-powered design tools and emerging technologies




• Strong English communication - You're fluent in English and can collaborate effectively with our international team (French is a plus but not required)

Products or teams you may work on

You'll be designing the direct touch points that connect our members with their healthcare journey. Your work will focus on:

• Alan Clinic: When prevention alone is not enough, our members need the best care possible. That's what the Alan Clinic is for. 120 health professionals (and one AI) work behind the scenes to answer all our member's questions, consult in video, redirect you to the nearest hospital, interpret your lab results. And while it feels effortless for members, the logistics behind it are next level. We plan to grow the clinic further in the best medical suite of tools for both members and doctors.




• Alan Spain: We're building Alan's own health network from scratch in Spain, designed around the real needs of Spanish members: from navigating a fragmented system to accessing the right care at the right time. At the heart of it is Alan Flex, our subscription model that goes beyond insurance to become a true health companion for individuals and families.

Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility but value in person work around our hubs
