Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Product Cybersecurity Architect to drive security across industrial product ranges. You will provide architecture expertise, develop standards, and work with product teams to embed security by design into roadmaps and delivery.

Join an international team, contribute to ISA/IEC 62443, CRA and NIS2 compliance, and help secure products through design, development and deployment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Academic degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Engineering or comparable field.
Several years in cybersecurity, product security or OT cybersecurity in architect/lead role.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Experience with ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82 and ISO 27001.
Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment and security reviews.
Experience with ICS/SCADA systems and industrial networks.
Knowledge of containerization and cloud security principles.
Understanding of AI-driven cybersecurity implications for products.
Fluency in English; strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain cybersecurity architecture framework for products and solutions.
Establish standards, guards, reference architectures and secure development practices.
Translate requirements into secure architectural solutions.
Drive Secure-by-Design adoption across products and processes.
Facilitate security reviews ensuring alignment with design principles.
Provide design guidance to development teams on security aspects.
Perform threat modeling and risk assessments at multiple levels.
Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate requirements into roadmaps and practices.
Provide advisory support through customer projects from proposal to delivery.
Support certification, compliance activities including CRA, NIS2 and ISA/IEC 62443.

For our Product Cybersecurity department, we are looking for an experienced, highly skilled and motivated Product Cybersecurity Architect to drive the definition and implementation of solution-wide security across exciting industrial product ranges. In this role, you will provide cybersecurity architecture expertise across multiple product and engineering domains, contribute to the development of cybersecurity standards and architectural principles, and work closely with development teams to strengthen the security and resilience of our products and solutions.

You will be part of Product Cybersecurity department, an international team of cybersecurity professionals united by a shared mission: enabling secure digitalization and ensuring that cybersecurity is built into products and solutions by design.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Define and maintain overall cybersecurity architectural framework for products and solutions
Establish and maintain cybersecurity principles, standards, guardrails, reference architectures, and secure development practices aligned with industry standards.
Translate business, regulatory, and customer requirements into secure and scalable architectural solutions.
Drive the adoption of Secure-by-Design principles and practices across products, solutions, and engineering processes.
Facilitate cybersecurity architecture and design reviews, ensuring alignment with secure-by-design principles and organizational security objectives.
Provide cybersecurity guidance on design and implementation to product development teams.
Perform threat modeling and risk assessments at component, system, and solution levels.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity requirements into product roadmaps, development processes, and engineering practices.
Provide cybersecurity expertise and advisory support throughout customer projects, from proposal and design phases through implementation and delivery.
Support cybersecurity certification, compliance, and assessment activities, including alignment with ISA/IEC 62443, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), NIS2, and other applicable requirements.

What You Bring

An academic degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field.
Several years of experience in cybersecurity, product security, or OT cybersecurity in an architect, lead specialist, or similar role.
Excellent technical security knowledge based on cybersecurity standards and good practices.
Experience with widely recognized OT cybersecurity standards, including ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and ISO 27001.
Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and security architecture reviews.
Experience with SCADA systems, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and industrial communication networks.
Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration security.
Knowledge of cloud security principles and architecture.
Understanding of AI-driven cybersecurity, including the use of AI in both offensive and defensive security contexts, and its implications for product security, threat detection, and secure system architecture.
Fluency in English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

You are an ideal candidate, if you have:

Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP, or ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert.
Knowledge of security and enterprise architecture frameworks such as SABSA and TOGAF.
Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to OT and connected products, including NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and NERC CIP.
Experience with software supply chain security, SBOM governance, and vulnerability management processes.
