CONTEXT:

UCC Coffee Europe operates in several European markets. Product renewal and improvement are driven by customer needs, input from Sales, Marketing and R&D, and a strong focus on sustainability, efficiency, quality and market developments.

Coffee green beans are purchased centrally at holding level. Non‑coffee procurement within UCC Coffee Europe includes packaging materials and raw materials. Other categories, such as technical materials, investment goods and services, technical maintenance contracts, transport and facility services, may differ per location and are intended to be further developed.

The function is divided into the following domains:

• PR (product‑related): raw and auxiliary materials, and packaging materials. Characteristic: category knowledge, day‑to‑day follow‑up and tactical procurement support.
• NPR (non‑product‑related): technical materials, investment goods and services. Characteristic: project‑based approach, requirement definition with budget holders and strong stakeholder management.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The manager is responsible for coordinating and executing purchasing activities for specific PR and NPR categories within the relevant European procurement scope, with a primary focus on CCT Najera and UCC Logroño requirements. The role supports purchasing policy, ensures competitive prices, contractual conditions, quality, supply continuity, risk follow‑up and stakeholder alignment, while contributing to efficient, compliant procurement processes.

• Senior level. Relevant educational background, supplemented with purchasing‑specific training and negotiation skills training.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, including financial and legal aspects, quality systems, supplier and contract management.
• Experience in procurement within an international FMCG environment is considered a strong advantage.
• Fluent professional English and Spanish.
