Michael Page is seeking an International Procurement Engineer for an industrial manufacturing environment. The role combines procurement, supplier quality, and project management to develop suppliers, drive cost reductions, and ensure APQP/PPAP compliance across European projects.

The successful candidate will manage RFQs, supplier performance, and audits while supporting cross-functional teams to meet quality, lead times, and cost objectives in a highly technical setting.

Reporting to the Global Technical Procurement Manager, the Procurement Engineer will be responsible for both purchasing and supplier quality activities, ensuring suppliers meet customer and business requirements regarding quality, cost and lead times.
Key responsibilities include:

• Identify, evaluate and develop a competitive supplier panel aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships and benchmarking activities.
• Lead RFQ processes and perform quotation analysis and cost evaluations.
• Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
• Monitor market and manufacturing technologies to identify alternative solutions and sourcing opportunities.
• Support customer audits related to procurement and supplier management activities.
• Qualify and approve new suppliers during project development phases.
• Manage APQP activities for new products, engineering changes and supplier re-approvals.
• Ensure purchasing specifications are defined, maintained and communicated effectively.
• Conduct supplier process audits and quality assessments.
• Evaluate supplier performance through KPIs and improvement plans.
• Lead supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Manage supplier non-conformities and review corrective actions, including 8D reports.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments, requalification activities and quality audits.
• Coordinate APQP milestones and supplier readiness for assigned projects.
• Act as liaison between purchasing, project management and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor project timing, costs and procurement deliverables.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to the Global Technical Procurement Manager.
• Support international sourcing and supplier development activities, including travel across Europe.
