Arghos is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their multidisciplinary engineering teams in Madrid, Spain. The role involves participating in Conceptual Engineering, FEED, and Detailed Engineering phases for international Power sector projects.

Candidates should have 6-10 years of experience in Power Engineering, a relevant degree, and be fluent in both English and Spanish. The position offers a permanent contract, competitive salary, and a hybrid working model, along with various employee benefits.

ARGHOS- Process Engineer – Power Plants | International Projects | Madrid, Spain

We are currently looking for experienced Process Engineer (6–10 years of experience) to join multidisciplinary engineering teams involved in the development of industrial Power Plant projects.

The selected candidate will participate in Conceptual Engineering, FEED and Detailed Engineering phases for international projects within the Power sector.

Responsibilities

• Process engineering design for industrial Power Plants: Combined Cycle, Cogeneration, Biomass, Waste-to-Energy, Renewable Energy and related facilities
• Preparation and review of engineering deliverables ensuring quality and compliance with project schedules.
• Participation in technical and project management meetings with Clients, Vendors, Licensors, Partners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participation in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Design Reviews and 3D Model Reviews.
• Equipment and systems design review, layouts and instrumentation specifications.
• Supervision and coordination of process engineering activities.
• Man‑hour estimation and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Design change management and follow‑up of engineering actions.
• Preparation and review of Material & Energy Balances, Process Simulations, Equipment & Piping Sizing Calculations, Heat Exchanger Thermal Design, Datasheets, Line & Instrument Lists, PFDs, P&IDs, Process Philosophies, Functional Descriptions, Operating Manuals and Test Procedures.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Power Engineering projects.
• Previous experience in engineering companies within the Power sector.
• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Energy Engineering.
• Fluent English (C1 level or equivalent) – international projects environment.
• Advanced Spanish level (C1).
• International candidates willing to relocate to Madrid will also be considered; in this case, besides fluent English, a fluent level of Spanish is required.
